Véronique De Coninck

Véronique De Coninck is an attorney at Bannister Lawyers where she is part of the family law and family property law department.

Family Law

Véronique graduated with distinction in 2008 as Licentiate/Master of Law at the University of Antwerp.

Already during her studies, she had a special interest in the law of persons and family law and family property law so she has further immersed herself in these matters including as an aspiring assistant family law clerk.

Family property law

Immediately after her studies, she started working as a lawyer at the Antwerp Bar, further specializing in family law in general and family property law in particular.

She has therefore since built up particular experience and expertise in this area both in proceedings before the courts and proceedings before notaries regarding liquidation and distribution after divorce or inheritances and estates.

Juvenile Law

In 2015, Véronique also started special training in juvenile law so that she currently holds the certificate "special training in juvenile law."

From her years of practical experience, an interest in alternative forms of conflict resolution has additionally emerged so that in the 2020-2021 academic year, she started the post-graduate course in mediation with the goal of being recognized as a family mediator.

The combination of empathy and accurate legal knowledge allows Véronique to respond appropriately to the client's needs and the nature of the conflict.
